Gail Ann Bump

November 17, 1954 — October 5, 2023

Gail A. Bump, 68, of Schenectady passed away on October 5th surrounded by her beloved family. She lost the battle against her illness, but fought fearlessly to the very end.
Gail was born and raised in Albany, NY and has resided in Schenectady for the past 20 years. She is predeceased by her husband Robert A. Bump, her parents Elizabeth Bond and Richard J. Bond Sr, and sister Terri Bassett.
A graduate of Capital Region BOCES, Gail received her license in Cosmetology, and was a well respected Hair Dresser for almost 40 years before retirement.
She enjoyed bowling, fishing, taking photos of nature and fall foliage, and absolutely loved Halloween with all the kids. She adored preparing and cooking Holiday dinners for her family and grandchildren. Her exceptional cooking will be missed by all.


She is survived by her two daughters Jennifer Bump and Allison Bump( Dylan) Her siblings Cheryl Lee, Richard Bond, Betty Jo Bond.
She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grand children Daniella Winfield(Elijah), Angelina Ciccone, Nora Ciccone, Kenneth Degrocco, Rachel Degrocco, Sophia Foss, Elijah Winfield, Karter Ciccone, Elia Winfield.
She was the best " Gram" ever, words fail to describe what she meant to them and how much they meant to her.
You will forever be missed, we love you forever and always.


Her family would also like thank the staff at Baptist Health for the support, comfort and care to Gail and her family during her final hours.


A private memorial gathering and celebration of life will be held for Gail in the coming weeks. More details to come for family and friends who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Judes Research Hospital
