Frederick Blake Sr

Frederick A. (Snake) Blake Sr. 53 of Rotterdam died suddenly Wednesday September 13, 2006 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Bennington, VT., Frederick was the son of the late Alvin and Ruby (Jordan) Blake. A devoted family man who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, Fred worked for the Town of Rotterdam in the Park's and Recreation Department for the last 15 years. He was a member of the Rotterdam Elks and an avid bowler with the Towne Bowling Academy. Frederick is survived by his wife of 31 years Sandra L. (Crandall) Blake, his children, Tina M. Blake, Karrie M. Romanowski and husband Steven and Frederick A. Blake Jr. all of Rotterdam, his adopted daughter Destiny M. Crandall of Rotterdam, his grandchildren ,Makayla and Dylan, his in-laws, Edward and Elaine Crandall of Schenectady ,his brothers and sister, Kenneth Blake (Pat) of Colonie, Ronnie Blake of Scotia, Gary Blake of Rotterdam and Sheree Farry(Jack) of Charlton ,a sister-in-law, Carol Crandall of Guilderland , brother-in-law, Kevin Crandall of Amsterdam and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon September 15, 2006 at 1 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY .Calling hours will be held at the Bond Funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park.
