Freda R. Klonowski 94 of Rotterdam died Friday evening February 1,2008 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Schenectady, Freda attended Draper Schools and had worked at Mohonasen High School in the cafeteria for over 25 years before her retirement in the late 1990's. Freda was also a former Union waitress, a waitress at Union College and had worked for the General Electric for over 27years in Canteen Food Services. She was a member of St Gabriel's Church and its Women's Club, the ladies Auxiliary of the Disabled American Veterans and enjoyed traveling the country with Wade Bus Tours. Freda was predeceased in 1971 by her husband of over 30 years Theodore W. Klonowski Sr. Survivors include her children; Judith C. Battasti-DeSilvia (Ronald ) of Catskill, John R. Klonowski (Flo) of Rotterdam and Theodore W. Klonowski Jr.(Henrietta) of Clifton Park, her beloved 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning February 6th at 10:30 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in St Adalbert's Cemetery, Rotterdam, NY. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 or to the Disabled American Veterans. Freda's family would like to thank home health aide Kathleen Stoddard who Freda considered as a daughter and home health aide Debbie Ward who was there when we needed her the most.
