Frank J Marx

Frank J. Marx 81, of Rotterdam died Friday afternoon at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Schenectady, Frank was the son of the late Frank and Della (Mink) Marx and a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy. A WWII Army veteran, Frank worked for over 20 years for the 3M Company at the MICA Works and late worked in Inventory control for over 10 years at Draper Pharmacy. A member of St Joseph's Church he was a former parish council president and a secretary of the St Francis Benevolent Society. He enjoyed gardening and loved the N.Y. Yankees and the N.Y. Football Giants. Frank was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Janet E. (Baker) Marx in 2005 and also two sisters, Ellen Trumpler and Miriam Cavanaugh. Frank is survived by his five children; Susan Jaronski (Thomas) of Malta, Nancy Brassard (Stephen) of Rotterdam, Theresa Maslanka (Donald) of Niskayuna, Douglas Marx (Theresa) of Scotia and Donald Marx of Rotterdam, a sister, Jean Stuart of Scotia, 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Minehan, Lisa Jaronski, Stephen Brassard Jr., Jason Brassard, Kimberly Brassard, Kristin Carter, Scott Maslanka and Katie Maslanka, 4 great grandchildren, Kylie, Coby, Olivia and Luke and several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday morning June 14, 2007 at 10 am at St Joseph's Church, 225 Lafayette Street, Schenectady, relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment in Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors will be held at the cemetery at 12:30 pm following the memorial mass. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund, 225 Lafayette Street, Schenectady, NY 12305
