Francis J. Hladik, 78, of Clifton Park passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Schenectady, Francis was the son of the late Charles and Agnes (Ralbovski) Hladik. Francis graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and was a member of the US Air Force Reserves. A lineman for Niagara Mohawk for 35 year until his retirement in 1995, Francis was an active member of the American Legion Post 1450 in Clifton Park for 38 years. Francis was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is predeceased by one brother, Charles Hladik. Francis leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Carol J. (Golas) Hladik, his children, Kerrianne Howland (Edward) and Michael F. Halt, grandchildren, Matthew Perry and Katarina Howland, brother, Joseph Hladik (Sandy), sister-in-laws, Judith Palka (Ronald), Patricia Kalbfliesh (John) and Joyce Hladik, brother-in-law, Raymond Golas (Yvonne) as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at 11am at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. A visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will take place in St. Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers, donations in Francis' name can be made to the American Lung Association of the Northeast, 1661 Worcester Rd., Suite 301, Framingham, MA 01701.
