Francis J Chamberlain

Francis J. Chamberlain, 89, of Fairlee Street Schenectady died Friday February 23, 2007 at Saratoga Hospital. Francis was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Eugene and Maria (Chism) Chamberlain. He served in the US Navy. Francis was employed for 42 years for GE in Schenectady, retiring as a Safety Specialist. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Schenectady and served as a Parish Trustee. Francis was also one of the first Readers at liturgies to serve in the Albany Diocese, and volunteered in the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was an avid Bowler and NY Yankee Fan. .Francis was a Past City Bowling Champion and was elected to the Bowling Hall of Fame. He is predeceased by his wife Annabell Farry Chamberlain whom he married April 25, 1942, two brothers-Rev. Wilfred Chamberlain and Gene Chamberlain, five sisters Esther Ruhl, Milene Winston, Mildred Hickey, Grace McDermott and Evelyn Blanchard. Francis is survived by two daughters Patricia Miller (Robert) of Saratoga Springs and Ann Marie Chamberlain of Scotia, 6 Grandchildren-David Miller (Karen) Michael Miller (Kim), Tracy Miller, Danny Miller (Kerry), Michael Izzo ( Cara) and Nicole Izzo, 5 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 10:30AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue followed by a Mass at 11AM at Immaculate Conception Church Bradt Street Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Wednesday morning 8:30-10:30AM at the Funeral home. Internment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery Schenectady.
