Everett William Dillon 81 passed unexpectedly on Thursday January 12th at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born and educated in Schenectady, Everett was the son of the late James D. and Margaret N.(Tellock) Dillon and a graduate of Linton High School.
A recipient of an associate's degree in engineering from Hudson Valley Community College, Everett had a 35-year career as an Engineer for New York State Department of Transportation in Albany. After his retirement from New York State Everett worked for the Northway Auto Exchange for several years.
A member of the Niskayuna Reformed Church, Everett married the love of his life Mae A. Mayer Dillon in 1986.
Beside his parents, Everett was also predeceased by a stepson Donald Mayer, his brother James Dillon and a nephew James Dillon. He is survived by his Wife Mae A. (Mayer) Dillon, daughters Michelle L. Dillon and Tami Dillon, stepsons, David Mayer (Late Linda) and Robert Moses, grandchildren Heather Mayer, Adriana Mayer, Todd Ritchie (Nicole), Paul Steenburg (Melissa), Seth Steenburg and great grandchildren Davlyn, Mal'ahki, Hunter, Sabrina, Shea, Sage, Charlotte, Juliet, Luke and nieces Margaret Cooper, Sarah Dillon and Judith Dunker.
A memorial service to celebrate Everett’s life will be held on Saturday February 4th at 11 am at the Niskayuna Reformed Church,3041 Troy-Schenectady Road, Niskayuna, NY 12308
Spring interment will be held in Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association,2 Pine West Plaza Suite 204, Albany, NY 12205 in Everett’s memory.
