Evelyn Wieczynski

Evelyn A Wieczynski 89 of Clifton Park died Saturday morning January 19th at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's after a short illness. Born and educated in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Florence (Jordon) Lewis. During WWII, Evelyn worked for the General Electric Company and later worked as a receptionist and secretary at Interstate Uniform Company and for WMHT before her retirement. In 1983 she and her husband Lawrence moved to Winter Haven, Florida where she worked in Florida Real estate for 20 years. Evelyn was predeceased in 2006 by her husband of 67 years, Lawrence J. Wieczynski Sr. and was also predeceased by a grandson, Bobby Jo Whitson Jr. She is survived by her children; Carole Whitson (Bob) of Arkansas, Lawrence J. Wieczynski Jr. (Patricia) of Rotterdam, Sister Susan l. Wieczynski RSM of Ballston Lake and Janet DiDonato (Paul) of Burnt Hills, 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. A. memorial mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church, Ushers Road, Round Lake ,NY on Thursday evening January 24th, 2008 at 6 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visitation will be held at the church from 4 to 6 pm prior to the memorial mass. Contributions may be made to Hospice Inn at St Peters, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 or to Sisters of Mercy Retirement Fund, 310 S. Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208. Interment will be private in Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady, NY
