Evelyn Lyons

Evelyn L. Lyons, 83, of Schenectady died Monday morning December 26, 2004 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in Schoharie County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Ellen Lamont. Evelyn was a graduate of Philadelphia Women's Hospital School of Nursing and was a register nurse for 50 years working private duty and at St. Peter's, St. Clares and Ellis Hospitals. She was a member of the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church and its bible study and also enjoyed ceramic's and knitting. Evelyn is survived by her husband for 18 years Arthur Michael Lyons of Schenectady and a sister; Esther Danforth and husband Thomas of Rotterdam and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Rugby Rd. Schenectady at 1:30 pm on Tuesday December 28, 2004. A calling hour will precede the service from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the church. Internment in Park Cemetery, Scotia.
