Evelyn R Garner

Evelyn R. Garner, 84, of Rotterdam died at home on Friday September 26, 2008 after a short illness. Born in Middleburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sheridan and Hilda (Cotton) Palmer. Evelyn was a graduate of Middleburgh High School. She was a homemaker. Evelyn volunteered in the Schalmont School Library for over 15 years. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Evelyn is predeceased by one son Robert J. Garner Jr. and one sister Lorene Pickett. She is survived by her husband Robert J. Garner Sr. whom she married September 2, 1942, two sons Sheridan Garner (Peggy) of Plattsburgh and William J. Garner (Linda) of Rotterdam, two daughters Karen Rios (Peter) of Glenville and Linda Laczo (Dezsi) of Rotterdam, one brother Duane Palmer of Middleburgh, one sister Kathleen Parker of Middleburgh, also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Monday 1PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be Monday 12-1PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
