Eva A Denovio

September 24, 1921 — March 19, 2009

Eva A. DeNovio 87 formerly of Rotterdam died Thursday March 19th at Baptist Health nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Scotia, NY. Born and educated in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Anna (Carnavale) Fossella. A homemaker, Eva was a Former member of the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post 1895, former volunteer with Dominican Retreat House, a former active member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Rosary Society. Eva was predeceased in 1995 by her husband of 53 years Carl DeNovio Sr. and three sisters, Angelina Pace Bonfiglio, Rose Palmo and Marion Altleri. She is survived by her children; Carl DeNovio Jr. of Yardley, PA, Gary DeNovio (Frances) of Rexford, Lynn Gaudio (Daniel) of Schenectady and Nicholas DeNovio (Patricia) of Bethesda, MD., a sister, Ann Fossella of Rotterdam, her grandchildren, Nicole DeNovio, Maria Fraterrigo, Carl DeNovio, Nathan Gaudio, Bryan Gaudio, Danielle Gaudio, Samantha DeNovio, J. Alexander DeNovio and Christina DeNovio, a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Fahringer and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday morning March 21, 2009 at 11:30am at St. Gabriel's Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Schenectady, NY 12303 There will be no Calling hours by request. Interment in St John's Cemetery will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Eva's memory to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to Baptist Health Nursing & Rehab. Center 297 N. Ballston Ave, Scotia, NY12302. The family would like to thank Dr. Ringler and the nursing staff on S-3 at the Center for there excellent care. Arrangements are by Bond Funeral Home, Schenectady, NY
