Ethel F. Barrett, 88, of Rotterdam died Monday evening March 3rd, 2008 at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia. Born and educated in Amsterdam, Ethel was a graduate of Wilber Lynch High School and the daughter of the late Clarence and Irene Folensbee. A homemaker, she was a member of Cranesville Reformed Church and the churches Climber Class and a former Sunday school teacher. Ethel enjoyed gardening being with her family. Ethel was the wife 63 years of the late Warren D. Barrett who died in 2005 and was also predeceased by a brother, Bradley Folensbee. Survivor's include her children Russell W. Barrett of Rotterdam, Janice B. Dyer of Clifton Park and Marcia M. Simek and Husband Robert of Rotterdam, a brother Harold Folensbee and two sisters Arlene Liebelt (Edward) and Marilyn Kowalski(Walter) all of Amsterdam, two grandchildren, Robin Rosenberger(Walter) Clifton Park and Robert W. Simek of Rotterdam and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 6, 2008 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY.
