Ernest D. Tulloch 91 of Princetown died Wednesday evening March 26, 2008 at St. Clare's Hospital. Born in Princetown Ernest was the son of the late Otis and Blanch (Stober) Tulloch. He worked for the D&H Railroad as a brakeman for many years before retirement. An Air Force veteran during WWII, he was a member of the 4th reconnaissance squad in Panama, 20th Air Force China Burma squad in India, Civilian Conservation Corps, China Burma India veterans association of Albany, and was on Tinian Island when they brought the Adam Bomb. As a pilot he was a member of the flying farmers club, academy of model aeronautics, fun flyers radio control club, U.S.S citizens band radio club, former member of the A.O.P.A, and built a runway on his father's farm called the Princetown Airport. Ernest was also a member of the NRA, United Trades Transportation Union for over 60 years, Princetown Hourglass Seniors, and a member of the Plotterkill fire department. He was an avid hunter, loved gardening and fishing, working with wood and playing the organ. He was predeceased in 1984 by his wife Frances (Schaffer) Tulloch, his brother Robert Tulloch in 2003, and sister Helen Tulloch. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 4pm at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 to 4 prior to the funeral service. Private interment in Viewland Cemetery, Rotterdam, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ernest's memory to the American Heart Association 440 New Karner Road Albany, NY 12205 or to the National Kidney Foundation of NENY 99 Troy Road East Greenbush, NY 12061.
