Emma M Jackson

Emma M. Jackson, 94, passed away on Christmas Day at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born and educated in Oneonta, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Rachel (Chaffer) Abbott, Sr. A homemaker, Emma was the wife of the late Byron M. Jackson for over 57 years before his death in 2003. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Hebert, great granddaughter, Amanda Martin, sister, Leona Loucks and brothers, John, William and Clarence Abbott . Emma is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Lawyer of Rotterdam and Sandi Paurowski (William) of Rotterdam, her grandchildren, Richard Hebert, Brenda Foust (Jason), Steven Hebert (Stephanie), Kelly Dashiell (Michael), Tracy Paurowski, Jim Lawyer, Jr., Robyn Lawyer and Brian Lawyer, great grandchildren, Jacques Bull, Baylee Fingerhut, Michael Dashiell, Jr., April Lawyer, Jim Lawyer, III, Kaitlyn Graham, Daniel Graham, Alysa Lawyer and Hunter Lawyer as well as one great great grandchild, McKenzie Gordon and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 31st, at 11am at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady with a visitation held prior from 10-11am. Interment will be in Viewland Cemetery, Rotterdam. The family would like to thank Emma's granddaughter, Brenda for the special care that she gave Emma over the past 1 ½ years.
