Emma M. Aumic, 82, of Bernice Street Rotterdam died Saturday May 19, 2007 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late George and Louise (Hallenbeck) Weaver. Emma was a Homemaker. Her family was one of the founding families of the Fisher's United Methodist Church in Rotterdam. Emma was the youngest of 8 Children. She grew up on a Farm. Emma loved the Town of Altamont and owned a summer home for 25 years on Leesome Lane. She lived a simple life. Emma had a sharp detailed memory, was strong, full of surprises, loved birds and was a great singer. She is predeceased by her husband Donald Aumic whom she married November 15, 1947, three brothers-Marvin Weaver, Harvey Weaver, and Raymond Weaver, four sisters-Evelyn Spencer, Leona Wilsey, Hazel Campbell and Edith Crounse. Emma is survived by her two daughters Lorraine Melody Aumic-Bogatka of Rotterdam and Diane Lyn Pattison of Schenectady, also survived by two Grandaughters-Briana Bogatka and Amanda Bogatka as well as several nieces and nephews Funeral Services will be Wednesday 2PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Tuesday evening 5-7PM at the Funeral home. Internment will be in Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam.
