Harlow, Elwyn Walter Rotterdam -Elwyn Walter Harlow, passed away May 10, 2005 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Oppenheim, NY on May 9,1930, he was the son of Willard "Bill" Walter Harlow and Leona "Nonie" Elizabeth Gyer.. Mr. Harlow grew up in Schenectady, graduating from Mont Pleasant High School in 1949. He served as a Corporal in the US Army from 1951 -1953, during which time he was stationed in Germany. He worked for over 40 years at the GB Research & Development Center, and at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Mr . Harlow was recently baptized into the Roman Catholic faith. He was a member ofGB's Quarter Century Club, and the American Legion. Mr .Harlow was predeceased by his parents, and one brother Milton. Survivors include his beloved wife Helen J . (Baumgartner) Harlow, two daughters, Terry L. Harlow-Schoen and her husband Robert Schoen of New York City, and Kristy M. Losee and her husband John of Rotterdam; one grandson, Christopher Losee of Rotterdam; and two brothers: Harold Harlow of Schenectady, and Crystal Beach, FL, and Selwyn (Dorothy) HarlowofSchenectady, and Crystal Beach, FL. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services ~ day at JL A.M. from the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland A ve, Schenectady, thence to the cemetery .Relatives and friends are invited and may call~y 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam.
