Elwin James Younes

Elwin James younes (Jamie) passed away at Promenade Rehabilitation Center in Far Rockaway NY on August 4th 2024 at the age of 66.

Born in Schenectady on June 14th, 1958 to Elwin and Elvira Younes. Elwin was predeceased by his parents Elwin and Elvira, his maternal grandparents Candalora and Isolina DAlonzo, his paternal grandparents Elwin and Edna Younes, his brothers Richard DAlonzo, Jeffery Younes, and just one day earlier his close brother Ronald younes.

Elwin is survived by his 5 boys Matthew younes, David Howard, Peyton Howard, James younes, and Anthony younes
Elwin is also survived by his brother Albert Younes (Laura) and sisters, Sallie Curtis, Marlene Anitis (Duane), Laurie Jenkins, and Nancy O'Neal. His grand dog Mia, long time partner and best friend kathleen (kathy) keyser, Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A devoted father and friend, Elwin enjoyed being outdoors and watching his son Matthew tinker with his random projects over the years. If you needed help and Elwin was able to help, you could count on him being there when he said he would be and as those that truly know him know he would give the shirt off his back for anyone that truly needed it. He loved collecting anything wolf related and always looked forward to the holidays and spending time with the people he loved.

He was kind, caring, funny and thoughtful to all who met him. He was a great person and he did everything he could as a father and brother over they years. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A grave side service at the family lot at St John the Baptist Cemetery will be held at a later date. Please reach out to Matthew for information regarding that.
