Ellen E Hunt (Smith)

Ellen E. Hunt, 82, of Rotterdam, passed away on Thursday December 20, 2018 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was the daughter of the late Casper and Anna (Chambers) Smith.

She was employed as a Nurses Aide at the Glendale Home. Ellen was also employed as a school bus driver for the Schalmont School District.

Ellen was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was passionate about being a grandmother. Ellen also found great enjoyment in driving children to school every day as a bus driver.

She is predeceased by her husband Richard W. Hunt whom she married January 21, 1978.

Ellen is survived by her loving children Ellen Strong (Michael) of Rotterdam, Warren Collins (Mary) of Alabama, Jeffery Collins (Tara) of Ballston Spa, Kevin Collins of Rotterdam, Bryan Collins of St. Petersburg, Fl. and Darryl Collins (Deborah) of Rotterdam. She is also survived by her two brothers Daniel Smith and George Smith both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, three sisters Patricia Ostrander of Duanesburg, Isabell Sarsick of Ballston Spa and Emily Filmore of St. Petersburg, Fl. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Ellen will be Friday December 28, 2018 at 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9-11AM.

Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
