Ellen M Renzi (Mcgrath)

Ellen M. Renzi, 87, passed away suddenly October 4th at Albany Medical Center. Born and educated in Schenectady, Ellen was the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Link) McGrath and sister of the late Hugh McGrath (late Marcia). A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Ellen worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service in Schenectady, before retiring with over 25 years of service. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Ellen was predeceased in 2003 by her beloved husband of 55 years Maxie Renzi. Ellen is survived by her children, Neal G. Renzi (Michele) of Schenectady and Donna Wetterlin (Peter) of Ephrata, PA, her cherished grandchildren, Eric Wettterlin, Lisa Palleschi (Tony), and Sara Gallagher (Miles) and her great grandson, Angelo Palleschi. Ellen is also survived a brother John McGrath (Lola) of Clifton Park , her in-laws, Delores Bartlette (Joe), Gilda Mitchell (Dom), Michael Renzi (Mary Anne), Linda Renzi (late Carmen) and several nieces, nephews and friends. Ellen was also predeceased by the late Kazimer Renzi, late Gloria and Roy Annis and the late Mary and Ray Reynolds. For the past six years Ellen lived at Kingsway Community where she spent many enjoyable hours with her cousin Mary Dyrgall and all the residents and staff.The Renzi family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Kingsway for their kind and compassionate care. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 8th at 11:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY followed at 12 noon at St John the Evangelist Church, 802 Union Street Schenectady, NY 12308 where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday evening from 5 to 8 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie, NY
