Ella Mae Shepherd

Ella Mae Shepherd,72, died on Monday August 17th at home after a long illness.

Born in Niskayuna, NY., Ella was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (McKeone) Shepherd and a graduate of Linton High School.

An employee of New York State Department of Tax and Finance in Data Entry for over 34 years, Ella was a member of St Luke’s Church. Always with a smile, Ella had a love for animals and was willing to help anyone in their time of need.

Ella is survived by her beloved daughter, Susan M. Shepherd of Schenectady, a sister, Betty Lou Farry (Bruce) of Florida, a nephew, David Farry (Gina) of Vermont ,a niece, Cindy Diamond (Lester) of North Carolina and several great nieces and nephews

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 24th at 9 am at St. Luke’s Church,1241 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12304.

Interment in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.

A future celebration of Ella’s life for family and friends will be held at a time and date to be announced when everyone can gather together again.
