Elisabeth Shatley

Elisabeth "Ellen" Shatley 79 of Rotterdam died Monday evening December 22, 2008 at Ellis hospital after a short illness. Born in Germany, Ellen was a homemaker and one of seven siblings. She was the president of the Elvis Presley Fan club of the Capitol District since 1980, a past president of the Overseas Club, a member of the Woestina Young at Heart Senior Citizens and Princetown Hourglass Senior citizens. Ellen is survived by her husband of 58 years Charles W. Shatley, her three children, Lorraine E. Westervelt (Gary) of Schenectady, Gerald F. Shatley (Vickie) of Glenville and Kevin L. Shatley (Carol) of Rotterdam, her sisters Elfriede Herzog of Belgium and Brunhilde Grebe of Germany , 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday morning December 29, 2008 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held on Sunday evening at the funeral home from 7 to 9 pm. Interment in Saratoga National Cemetery.
