Eleanor Knight Talerico

Eleanor Knight Talerico, 94, of Gansevoort formerly of Rotterdam died Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Indian River Nursing Home in Granville, NY. Born in Halfmoon, NY, she was the daughter of the late Halsey and Bessie (Simmons) Russell. Eleanor was a long time resident of the town of Rotterdam and recently lived with her Granddaughter in Gansevoort. She was employed as a Sales Clerk for WT Grant, the Boston Store, Fabric Fair and Addison and Dey. Eleanor is predeceased by her late husband Paul John Talerico to whom she was married for 36 years and one sister Irene Piurowski. She is survived by two sons Paul J. Talerico Jr. ( Barbara) of Rotterdam, James Talerico ( Linda) of Colonie, two daughters Linde Oechler of Ballston Lake and Lois Hammond ( Michael) of Rotterdam, one sister Ethel DeGroff of Ballston Spa, also survived by 13 Grandchildren-Rebecca Murray ( Edward), Michele Masse, Nikki Baron(Michael), Kristin Rothwell, Kim Talerico, Tracie Oechler, Jaret Oechler ( Kathy), Paul Oechler ( Janelle) Karin Wallimann ( Chad), Monica O'Connor ( Shawn), Heather Massaro ( Thomas Hipple), Neil Massaro and Amanda Massaro as well as 15 great grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be Monday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be Monday 10-11AM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie.
