Edward A. Crevier 84 passed away Monday July 14th after a long battle with emphysema. Edward was born in Keeseville, NY and later moved to Rotterdam. He was a choir boy at St Columbus for 11 years in Schenectady. Edward was a veteran of World War II, Chief of Section 844, his battles and campaigns include Ardennes, Central Europe and Rhineland. He received the American Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Edward also received the Carbine Expert 181 badge in 1944. Eddie (Frenchie) was employed by the General Electric for 42 years in Building 52 as a speed lathe operator before retiring in 1984.He was also a member of the Rotterdam Elks and a former member of St Helen's Church. Edward and his wife Angela moved from Rotterdam to Vero Beach in 1993. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Angeline A. Crevier, a brother Walter Crevier of Rotterdam, a sister Lillian Smith of Scotia, nephews Judge Richard Moran of Scotia, Thomas Moran and Paul Moran, Douglas Smith and Michael Crevier; a niece Patricia Duvall;his 11 stepchildren from his second wife, Angeline; grandchildren,Mark Brown and his sister Denise and all their children and grandchildren. Edward is also predeceased by two sisters, Patricia and Violet and a brother Earland stepdaughter, Shirley Brown. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning July 19,2008 at 8:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY followed at 9 am at St John the Evangelist Church, Union Street, Schenectady, NY where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Park View cemetery.
