Edward W. Buehler 90 of Rotterdam died Friday afternoon April 8, 2005 at Ellis Hospital after a long battle with emphysema. Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Edward was a graduate of Albany High School and the son of the late William and Maria (Mayer) Buehler. Edward worked for the General Electric Company for over 35 years retiring as a manufacturing engineer in the turbine department in 1976. He was graduate apprentice of New York Central Railroad in West Albany, and had also worked at the Watervliet Arsenal for 3 years and was an Income Tax preparer for over 50 years. Edward was a member of the General Electric ? century club, former member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and affiliated with Messiah Lutheran Church. Edward is survived by his wife for 65 years Marion K. (Brown) Buehler, his two children, Linda M. Buehler of Rotterdam and Robert E. Buehler Sr. of Rotterdam, two grandchildren, Marlena C. Peek and husband Richard of Clifton Park and Robert E. Beuhler Jr. of Rotterdam and two great granddaughters, Juliana and Abigail Peek. He was also predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Karen (Gentile) Beuhler and his brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Mary Beuhler. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning April 12, 2005 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Internment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park. Contributions may be made in Edwards's memory the charity of choice.
