Edmondo A. Ferraro, 90, of Rotterdam passed away Monday evening December 3, 2012 at the Diamond Hill Nursing Home in Troy. Born in Utica, NY, he was the son of the late Bruno and Luigia (Cumini) Ferraro. Edmondo was employed in maintenance for the Schenectady County Community College. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Schenectady. In Italy Edmondo studied various classical art forms, which he employed in his main artistic style. His work was featured in the Schenectady Palace Theater as well as Ellis Hospital and other local buildings. Edmondo taught Art in Night School at Albany High School, Mohonasen High School and from home. He is predeceased by one son Bruno P. Ferraro, one brother Angelo Ferraro and one sister Gloria Marotta. Edmondo is survived by his loving wife Anita (Ceppellotti) Ferraro who he married February 6, 1948, two daughters Vera Apostol (Paul) of Ballston Lake and Loredana Adams of Burnt Hills, one daughter in law Fay Ferraro of Pattersonville, one brother Elio Ferraro (Vivian) of Mariaville Lake, one sister Vera Russell (Milton) of Colorado Springs, also survived by 6 Grandchildren-Nicholas Forte, Kristin Adams, Renee Anita Ferraro, Angelica Apostol, Brianna Adams and Dominick Marotta, one great Grandchild Christian Greco as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Friday 11 am at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be 10-11AM prior to the service. Internment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
