Edgar Calderon

Edgar A. Calderon 22 of Schenectady died unexpectedly Friday evening May 26, 2006 at Ellis Hospital. Born in El Salvador, he was the Son of Nuria (Calderon) Wheeler of Schenectady and Step-son of Ted T. Wheeler Jr. of Ballston Lake. Edgar was a graduate of Scotia Glenville High School and recently completed work on an associate degree in Business Administration at Schenectady County Community College. He served an internship at Disney World for six months as part of his program in college. Edgar worked with Lego's and would build models to scale. He was a recipient of the Make a Wish Foundation which sent him and his family to Lego Land in California. Edgar work at Ellis Hospital for the last 3 years and was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. A kind and generous person who always put others first, he was a former Jr. Volunteer and then Sr. Volunteer at Ellis Hospital and a volunteer with the American Heart Walk. Along with his mother and step- father, Edgar is also survived by a sister Sylvia C Calderon of Schenectady, his grandmother Maria A. Calderon of Schenectady, his aunt and uncle, German and Shelly Calderon of Prince William County, Virginia and his cousins, Billy and German Calderon of Prince William County ,Virginia. Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning 9:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY followed at 10 am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Saratoga Road, Glenville where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening May 30, 2006 from 7 to 9 pm. Interment in St. Cyril's Cemetery, Rotterdam, NY
