Earl W Smith

In fond and loving memory of Earl (Smitty) Smith Sr., 85 years old who passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on Monday afternoon October 2, 2006. Smitty worked for Sherry Tire Company in Schenectady for over 20 years and retired in 1980. Earl lived most of his adult life in Mariaville, and Rotterdam Junction, NY working in his gardens under the warm sun. Smitty is predeceased by his brother Eddie and his Sister Shirley. He is survived by his loving wife Carole Smith of Schenectady; his sister Edna of Saratoga Springs and brother Charles in Coulee Dam, Washington. He was also blessed with three children and one step daughter, Earl Jr. (Wilma) of Nassau, NY, Marilynn of Schenectady, Donald ( Ruth) of Schenectady and Melody of Schenectady. He also experienced the joy of having many beautiful nieces, nephews, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren whom he lovingly saw grow up. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon 1:30PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Thursday from 11:30AM-1:30PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Memory's Garden in Colonie.
