Douglas E Smith

Douglas E Smith who was born June 7, 1960 to Russell and Charlene Smith, was called to god's loving arms on Jan 8, 2009. He touched the lives of many family, friends, and co-workers. His love of life and devotion to family were to be admired, his dedication to education and saving lives led to inspiration. Douglas attended the Believers Fellowship Center. He obtained his RN from Maria College and was employed at Ellis Hospital for twenty nine years. He enjoyed many years of fishing, camping, and traveling with family and friends. His love, warmth and sense of humor will be missed and never replaced. Douglas is survived by his devoted wife Sheryl, two sons Lamel and Quentin, and grandson, Isaiah. Also his parents Russell and Charlene, two sisters Mechelle and Shaunelle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, godsons, goddaughters, sister and brother in-laws. Douglas is gone from this earth but not from our hearts and we were all blessed to have him in our lives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 14th, 2008 at 12 noon at Bond funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Avisitation will be held at the Funeral home on Wednesday from 10 to 12 prior to the service. Interment in Memory's Garden in Colonie, NY
