Dorothy K. Potter, 75, of Maben Road Princetown died Thursday March 1,2007 in her sleep at home. Dorothy was born in Schenectady and was the daughter of Herman and Rose (Fisher) Kelly. She was a graduate of SUNY at Potsdam. Dorothy was employed as a Grade School Teacher for the Draper School District for many years and after that was a substitute teacher for local School Districts. She was also employed as a Clerk for Schenectady County Community College. Dorothy grew up on a Farm and loved the Country .She was a 4-H Leader and a member of the Home Bureau. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, homemaker and caregiver. Dorothy loved the Sporting events and activities of her children and Grandchildren. Dorothy enjoyed music and played the piano. Survivors include her husband George H. Potter whom she married August 29, 1953, four children David A. Potter ( Roxanne) of Lacrosse, Washington, Catherine J. Whalen of San Diego, CA, Richard K. Potter ( Barbara) of Rotterdam and Rebecca P. Smith(Ronald) of Mariaville, 9 Grandchildren Melanie, Angela, Lura, Zachary, Sarah, Kayleigh, Amanda, Ashlene and Richard also survived by numerous cousins and other relatives. Funeral Services will be Sunday 6PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Calling Hours will be Sunday afternoon 3-6PM at the Funeral home. Internment will be in the spring in Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam.
