Dorothy Hauswald

In the sure and certain hope of the resurrection to life, it has pleased Almighty God to take into His loving care Dorothy M. Hauswald on October 7, 2008. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Karl Hauswald; her parents Charles and Mary Katherine Gordon; and her brother Walter Gordon. She is survived by her dear friends and surrogate children Jack and Susan Bowers of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, formerly from Niskayuna. A special thanks to the aides from Interim Health Care for their compassion and loving care. Dorothy was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church working tirelessly over the years on many programs and projects for the Church. She retired as a secretary from General Electric after many years of service there. Dorothy was a special person who will be missed by all who knew her. Memorial donations may be made to Albohm Endowment Fund at Zion Lutheran Church, 153 Nott Terrace, Schenectady, New York 12308. Funeral and burial arrangements will be private.
