Dorothy J Harlow

Dorothy J. Harlow 77 of Schenectady died Friday morning October 19th at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born and educated in Schenectady she was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and the daughter of the late Nellie Sanders Schermerhorn. Dorothy had worked for the Schenectady School System for over 25 years when she retired in 1988. She was an associate member of the Bellevue Reformed Church where she was an office volunteer and former Elder. Dorothy was also a volunteer with SICM, Proctor's and the Galway Library. She is survived by her husband Selwyn E. Harlow who she married on August 25th in 1951, her three children, Selwyn E. Harlow Jr. (Judy) of Burnt Hills, Scott H. Harlow (Serena Benson) of Galway and Sherry Lynn Delgrego of Schenectady, her grandsons, Daniel and Kent Harlow of Burnt Hills and a sister Shirley Schermerhorn. A memorial service will be held on Thursday evening October 25th at 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening for 5 to 7 pm prior to the memorial service. Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery on Friday morning 10am at the cemetery.
