Dorothy B Furbeck

Dorothy B. Furbeck 85 of Princetown died Friday march 16, 2007 at St Clares Hospital after a long illness. Born on the family farm in Princetown, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Elmeda (Vedder) Furbeck. A graduate of Princetown District #7 grade school and Draper High School in 1939, Dorothy and the senior class went to the Worlds Fair in Long Island for there senior trip. She worked as an Executive Secretary for the General Electric Company in both Schenectady and New York City for over 41 years before retiring in 1983. Dorothy had a deep love for the lord, her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a member of the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Women's ministries and Naomi Circle of the Church and was a Sunday school teacher. Dorothy also loved reading, travel, music, dining out and the theater. Survivors include her sisters; Marjorie F. Waldron (Late Gerald Waldron) and Jean E. Furbeck and brother Herbert V. Furbeck all of Duanesburg., 2 nephews Robert D. Waldron of Duanesburg and Ronald D. Waldron (Denise) of Tribes Hill and a great niece Brenna M. Waldron of Buford, GA and several cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon March 21, 2007 at 2 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the Funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park. In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made to the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church Women's Ministries,3662 Gifford's Church Road, Duanesburg, NY 12056 or to Youth for Christ, 293 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham, NY 12110.Dorothy's family would like specially thank Pastor John and Sheree Fisher, the staff's of Guilderland Center Nursing Home, St Clares Hospital, Community Hospice, Rotterdam Home Health Services and Schenectady Visiting Nurse Association for the wonderful care during her illness.
