Dorothy E. Blum, 97, of Glenville passed away on December 15, 2020 at Glendale Nursing Home in Glenville.

Born in Richmondville, NY, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Homer and Mabel (Kling) Sagendorf.

A former shipper in the Motor Department of General Electric for more than 40 years, Dorothy was a former member of the Rotterdam Junction United Methodist Church, the Young at Heart Senior Citizens and President of the GEAA.

Predeceased by her husbands Louis Canfield and Frank L. Blum Jr., Dorothy is survived by her step-children Ellen Beaumont (Donald) of Everett, Washington, Kathleen Engel of Burnt Hills, Thomas Blum (Sally) of Rotterdam Junction and Carol Caracciolo (Joe) of Burnt Hills, her sister Eva Lucarelli of Rotterdam, grandchildren Joey Caracciolo (Amanda), Jillian Savoie (Brody), Brian Engel, Evan Engel (Katie), Derek Beaumont, Cassandra Beaumont and Raymond Blackwood, great grandchildren Roman and Reese Savoie, Logan Engel and Jack Blackwood and several nieces and nephews.


A private service will be held for the immediate family on Saturday, December 19th at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home in Schenectady.

Spring interment will be in Woestina Cemetery in Rotterdam Junction, NY.

Contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Make a Wish Disney Trip.
