Doris Mae Wolfe

Doris Mae Wolfe 86 of Guilderland and formerly of Schenectady died Friday evening August 17th at home after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Hugo and Lula (Vrooman) Wolfe and a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Doris was employed by the General Electric Company in the Finance department for over 41 years before she retired in 1982. Doris loved to travel and spending time in Maine at the ocean with family. She was a member of Rotterdam United Methodist Church, the G.E. Women's Club and the G.E. ? century club. Doris was the beloved aunt of Georgianna Pennacchia (Robert) of Guilderland, Doris Schillinger (William) of Clifton Park, Gale Anderson (David) of Glen, Lawtton Test (Lorraine) of LaPalma, CA and Kenneth Test (Sue) of Esperance, the cherished, great aunt of Kristen Pennacchia (Jason) of Voorheesville, Kara Pennacchia of Guilderland, Wendy Roberts (Steve) of Fonda, Beverly Bashwinger (Andy) of Liverpool, Brenda Test of Esperance, David Anderson (Tammy) of Glen, Jerry Viele of Clifton Park Samantha Test, Sabrina Test and Lawtton Test all of LaPalma, CA and several great great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady on Monday evening August 20, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning starting at 9:15 am at the funeral home and then proceeding to Rotterdam United Methodist Church, Helderberg Ave. at Curry Road, Schenectady where the service will be held at 10am. Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park. Contributions may be made in Doris memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308.
