Doris M. Davignon, 88, passed away Sunday afternoon August 28th at Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady. Born in Mechanicville, Doris was the daughter of the late Robert and Cornelia (Seitter) Thomas and sister of the late Ernest and Walter Thomas. A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Doris worked for over 30 years for Dick's Glass in Schenectady before retiring as their office manager. She was a former President of the American Legion Post #1092 Auxiliary, a volunteer for 15 years with the RISE program at WMHT and an avid reader who enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Predeceased in 1962 by her husband Paul H. Davignon, Doris is survived by her children; Michelle Maura (Late Edward) , Michael Davignon (Donna), Scott Davignon (Janet) and Paula Ogilvie (Robb) all of Rotterdam, her sisters, Beverly Bertrand of Earlton, NY and Nola Duquette of Glenville and her brother, Donald Thomas (Mary) of Glenville. Doris is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday morning September 3rd at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will precede the service from 9 to 10 am at the funeral home.
