Doris E. Osterhout, 96 of Schoharie, NY died Friday evening July 7, 2006 at Eden Park Nursing Home in Cobleskill after a short illness. Born and educated in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Elton and Nellie Fisher and a graduate of Schenectady High School and Ellis School of Nursing. A life long caregiver, Doris worked as a registered nurse for over 50 years. She was a head RN on Pediatrics at Ellis Hospital for over 40 years and late retired from Eden Park in Cobleskill. She was a former member of Bellevue Reformed Church and a member of Esperance Methodist Church. Doris was predeceased in 1957 by her husband George S. Osterhout. Survivor's include her children, Linda E. Briggs of Schoharie and Richard A. Osterhout (Renee) of Spencerville, Indiana, a brother, Richard E. Fisher of West Berne, seven grandchildren, Mark D. Briggs of Schoharie, Paul D. Briggs of Esperance, Lori Warner (J.R.) of Middleburg, Fred W. Briggs (Tammy) Sloansville, Rev. Bruce Osterhout of Reading ,PA, Brian Osterhout (Susan) Marlton, NJ and Beth Ann Richards (Ken) Grabill, Indiana, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday morning July 14, 2006 at 11 am at Viewland Cemetery, Princetown Road Rotterdam, NY to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made to SchoWright Ambulance Service, P.O.
