Doris E Palmer (Ellis)

Doris E. Palmer. 89. of Schenectady, formerly of Rotterdam passed away on Sunday March 6, 2016 at the Capital Living and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady. Born in Gilboa, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence D. and Madeline (Hubbard) Ellis. She was employed in the draft design department for the General Electric Company in Schenectady. Doris was a member of the Rotterdam United Methodist Church. She was active in the church choir, Sunday school and Women's Society. Doris was a woman of strong faith and loved her church family. She was a beautiful person. Doris had the biggest heart and was a kind and loving soul. Everybody loved her. Doris was very artistic and loved making many different things. She also enjoyed fishing. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Willard M. Palmer, one son Robert Palmer and one brother Glendon Ellis. She is survived by one daughter in law Carol Palmer of Schenectady, one brother Paul Ellis(Norma) of Claverack one sister in law Doris Denny Palmer of Virginia and also three grandchildren Christopher Palmer, Jessica Grant and Brandon Grant as well as three great grandchildren- Ryan Palmer, Aleiyah Colon and Mariah Grant and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Doris will be Thursday March 10, 2016 at 11AM at the Rotterdam United Methodist Church 1915 Helderberg Avenue Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Wednesday 6-8PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady The internment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
