Doris Hallenbeck Laponia (Bolster)

Doris M.(Bolster) Hallenbeck Laponia, 88, formerly of Rotterdam died Wednesday September 21, 2011 in Charlemont, MA. Born in White Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Verna (Herrick) Bolster. Doris was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and Mildred Ellie Business School. She was a homemaker. Doris was a member of the Rebecca Lodge of the Eastern Star. She is predeceased by her two husbands- Kenneth Hallenbeck and Joseph Laponia, also Doris is predeceased by two sons- Warren C. Hallenbeck and Allen K. Hallenbeck. Doris is survived by three sons David J. Hallenbeck (Regis) of Rotterdam, Timothy Hallenbeck of Westfield, MA Dr. Paul L. Hallenbeck ( Paula) of Chester Spring, PA ,two daughters Kathleen Walsh (Lt. Col. John) of Culpeper, VA and Elizabeth Weisman ( Clarke) of Albany, NY, two sister in laws Sandra Hallenbeck and Kathryn Hallenbeck, also survived by 14 Grandchildren Allen Ray Hallenbeck (Ann), Glen Hallenbeck, Betty Hallenbeck, Rachel Bryant ( Scott) Eric Hallenbeck ( Bobbi), Michael Hallenbeck (Megan), Matthew Hallenbeck ( Kristina) Stephen Hallenbeck, John Hallenbeck, Amilla Hallenbeck, Timothy Hallenbeck Jr Rebecca Walters ( Anthony), Christine Bahl ( John) and John Patrick Walsh. as well as 20 Great Grandchildren and one niece and nephew. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 12 noon at the Messiah Lutheran Church 2850 Guilderland Avenue Rotterdam. Calling Hours will be Tuesday at the church from 10-12.
