Donna J. Vivian, 48, of Schenectady, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon, January 30, 2007, at St. Claire's Hospital. She was born in Schenectady, NY, on January 8, 1959, the daughter of Joseph Vivian and the late Esther (Willie) Vivian. Donna most recently worked as a nurse in the oncology ward of Ellis Hospital and as a manager for Cherry Hill Photo. For the past several years she devoted much of her time to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, serving as the President of the Capital Region chapter, where she provided counseling services to victims of gun violence and their families. She loved to be with her family and friends, and always put others' needs before her own. All who were part of her life loved Donna, and she will be dearly missed. Survivors include her loving son, Peter (Colleen) Le Gere, Jr., her father, Joseph, her brother Joseph Vivian, Jr., and her sisters Darlene Vivian, Mary Lowery, and Susan Rubino. Funeral services will be held Monday morning, February 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 to 11 am at the funeral home. Donna will be laid to rest at Memory's Garden in Colonie.
