Donna Hannon

Donna Lee Hannon peacefully rejoined her loved ones in Heaven, on June 12, 2022, at the age of 60.

Donna was born in Niskayuna, NY, and came to Brevard County in 1987 from Albany, NY. Donna’s career spanned 35 years at Kennedy Space Center, working on the Shuttle, Artemis I, & Artemis II projects.

She was a consummate organizer in both her professional, and personal life. Donna lived life to the fullest with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Many of her friends say she was a ray of sunshine when she walked into a room and was an inspiration to all. Donna made her house a warm and inviting home. She loved a theme and celebrating her family and friends – from simple game nights and family dinners to large holiday parties – many fun times and memories were made around her beautiful table.

We will all remember Donna for her strength, courage, and perseverance. She fought her battle as the courageous warrior she was, and never gave up. Donna will be greatly missed but will always be remembered for what a life of love she gave to everyone she met.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, William Hannon. Mother to Kiley Rose Wright (William Wright), and Tara Lynne Hannon.

Predeceased by her loving parents, Donald and Sandra Ryder, and brother, John Ryder.

A joint service for Donna and her mother Sandra will be held on Saturday July 9th at 9:30 am at Bond Funeral Home in Schenectady. A visitation will precede the service from 8;30 to 9:30 am . Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Interment will be held in Woestina Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or Vitas Hospice, in care of the Inpatient Unit, would be greatly appreciated.
