Donald R Sherman

Donald R. Sherman, 55, of St Johnsville died Thursday at Little Falls Hospital. Born in Cohoes, NY, he was the son of the late Robert Sherman and Arlyne (Lewis) Smith of Florida. He served in the US Army. Donald attended the GE Apprentice Program and Union College. He was employed as a Retail Manager for Lowe's Department Store in Amsterdam. Donald was active for many years as a leader for the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. He was also a member of the Masons. Besides his mother, he is survived by four children Deborah Sherman of Queensbury, Tracy Alden (Peter) of Rotterdam, David Sherman and John Sherman both of Schenectady, his life Companion Patricia Shand of St. Johnsville, one brother Keith Wenzel of Florida, one sister Carol Capodano of Florida, also survived by 4 Grandchildren-Jessica Sherman, Caileigh Alden, George Alden and Heather Beswick and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Monday evening 6-8PM at the funeral home.
