Donald Masick

Donald F. Masick, 54 , of Quackenbush Road, Schenectady died Saturday August 5, 2006 after a courageous battle with melanoma. Donald was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Vincent C. Masick and his mother Ruth Masick of Rotterdam. He is a graduate of Schenectady Community College. Donald was the owner and operator for 25 years of the Donald F. Masick Excavating Co. After that he was employed for the Carver Construction Co. for 7 years. He was the owner and developer of the Shardon Manor in Rotterdam. Donald was a member of the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed bowling, playing the organ and the Casinos and had his Pilot's License. Besides his mother he is survived by his wife Nancy Sebast Masick whom he married March 16, 1974, three sons Donald V. Masick (Sharlene) of Rotterdam, Brian E. Masick (Cathlyn) of Rotterdam, and Kevin D. Masick of Long Island, three brothers Vincent Masick, Lawrence Masick, and James Masick all of Rotterdam, also survived by 5 Grandchildren Nathaniel Masick, Hailey Masick, Nicholas Masick, Benjamin Masick and Annabelle Masick. Funeral Services will be Thursday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
