Donald Richard Livingston

January 10, 1947 – January 19, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Donald Richard Livingston, age 77, on January 19, 2024.

Don was born on January 10, 1947 to Thelma and Eugene Livingston in Schenectady, NY. Donald is survived by his wife Edna, his children Scott (Diane), Dana, Wendy Winslow (James), and Michael Luciano (Tara), his grandchildren Dylan, Derek, Sydney, James, Jason, Destiny, Serenity and his brother Michael along with his many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded to
Heaven by his beloved brother Mark.

He graduated from Hartwick College with a Bachelors degree in History.  Don often said he was a man of simple tastes and did not need anything fancy to feel happy.  He was an avid music lover, preferring rock and roll of the early 1960s. He was a huge sports fan and loved the Yankees and cherished his Buffalo Bills.  Don enjoyed attending his childrens’ and grandchildrens’ sporting events.  He looked forward to his weekly card games with his friends and never missed a game.

Don loved to banter and captivated those around him with lively stories, opinions
and jokes. Don particularly enjoyed picnics and holiday celebrations with his family. Don truly cared about others, always interested and eager to hear and share the latest family news. His impact on the lives of others will endure long past his years.

We will be celebrating Don’s life 5-7pm Thursday, January 25th, at Bond Funeral Home in Schenectady, New York. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their memories of him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the Animal Protective Foundation
in Glenville, NY to honor of his and his children’s many beloved pets.

May Donald Richard Livingston rest in peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
