Dominick F Tessitore

Dominick F. Tessitore 86 of Schenectady died Wednesday July 9th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born and educated in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Ralph and Josephine Tessitore. Dominick worked as a bartender at the Barnsider Steak House in Colonie for over 24 years before his retirement and had also worked for several other restaurants in the Schenectady and Albany area. An avid golfer and bowler, he was a member of the VanVranken Golf League and the Young Businessman's Bowling League. Dominick was a fan and supporter of the Northside Little League and a member of St Anthony's Church. Dominick was predeceased in May 2007 by his wife of 57 years Hazel L. (Briggs) Tessitore and he was also predeceased by his siblings, Jane Silvernail, Steve, Tony and Louie Tessitore. He is survived by his children, Linda McCutcheon (Tim) of Schenectady, Ralph Tessitore (Bonnie) of Rotterdam, Douglas Tessitore (Christine) of Jupiter, Fl. and Charles Tessitore (Teresa) of Rotterdam, a brother Patsy Tessitore ( Nickie) of Niskayuna, five grandchildren, Katie McCutcheon, Bradley McCutcheon, Ralph Tessitore Jr., Kiley Tessitore and Christopher Tessitore and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning July 12th at 9:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY followed at 10 am at St Anthony's Church 331 Seward Place, Schenectady, NY where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home Saturday morning from 8:15 to 9:15 am prior to the services. Interment in Memory's Garden. Contributions may be made in Dominick's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Dominick's family wish to thank the C-4 staff at Glendale Nursing Home for their care and compassion for there father over the past year.
