Dominick DiCarlo, 87, of Rotterdam passed away Sunday May 31, 2015 at the Glendale Home. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Gerald and Amelia (Carnevale) DiCarlo. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Dominick was employed as a laborer for Mica Insulators and later the General Electric Company in Schenectady. He also served as a volunteer fireman in Rotterdam. Dominick was predeceased by several brothers and sisters- Mafalda Tedesco, Albert DiCarlo, Raymond DiCarlo, Mary Curcio and Olympia Hodge. He is survived by his loving wife Arlene ( Tangarone) DiCarlo, one son David DiCarlo of Schenectady, two daughters Diane VanVranken (Arthur) of Ballston Lake and Dennine LaPlante of Scotia, also survived by four grandchildren-Matthew VanVranken, Kelsey DiCarlo, Taylor LaPlante and Rachel LaPlante as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Calling Hours will be Tuesday evening 6-8PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Vale Cemetery in Schenectady. Contributions cane be made in Dominick's memory to the Alzheimer's Association 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205.
