Dominic D'Annibale

Dominic D'Annibale, 84,of Rotterdam passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday July 24, 2016. Born in Ceccano, Italy, he was the son of the late Arcangelo and Gertrude (Maura) D' Annibale. He was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady. Dominic was employed for 29 years as a machinist for the General Electric Company in Schenectady, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Rotterdam and served at the church as an usher. Dominic was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and the IUE. He was a train collector. Dominic was known as "Mr. Fix-It" and he loved to fix anything. . Dominic loved being with family especially his grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother, John D'Annibale (late, Joyce), and his two brother-in-laws: Antonio Corradi and Antonio Tommasone. Dominic is survived by his loving wife Maria Corradi D'Annibale whom he married on June 4, 1966, his son Angelo D'Annibale (Christiane) of Ballston Spa, one daughter Dana O'Connor (Christopher) of Guilderland, one brother Agusto D'Annibale (JoAnn) of Albany, one brother in law Sergio Corradi (Giuliana) of Silvi, Italy, three sisters- in- law Giovina Tommasone of Rotterdam, Lucy and Bruno Sacchetti of Guilderland and Renato and Silviana Frascarelli of Silvi, Italy. Dominic had a special relationship with Lucy's husband Bruno. Also survived by six grandchildren- James D'Annibale, Anthony D'Annibale, Amanda O'Connor, Marissa O'Connor, Joseph O'Connor and Patrick O'Connor as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Dominic will begin Wednesday at 10AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue in Schenectady, followed by a Mass at 10:30AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 210 Princetown Road Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are in invited to attend. A calling hour will be Wednesday 9-10AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Schenectady. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made in Dominic's memory to our Lady Queen of Peace Church on 210 Princetown Road in Rotterdam, NY 12306, to the American Cancer Society at Hope Lodge on 7 Oak Street, Worcester, MA 01604, or to Community Hospice on 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
