Derek J. Bridger

Derek J. Bridger, 68, of Schenectady passed away in his sleep with his beloved wife by his side on Saturday February 8, 2025. Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Raymond and Beatrice Yeary.

He proudly served his country in the Army.  Derek retired from Petrecky Excavation Company where he was employed as foreman.

He is survived by his wife Jean (LaPlante) Bridger, brother-in-law Joseph LaPlante Sr., his three children Danielle Bridger, Khrystie Parks and Derek J. Bridger II. Derek is also survived by his grandchildren Cheyanne Bridger, Damon Gwinn and Dawson Bridger.

A Celebration of Derek’s life will be on Friday February 14, 2025 at 11am at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be from 10-11am prior.
