David C. Milliman

David C. Milliman Sr., 73, of Schenectady, NY, passed away at home on September 15, 2026.

Dave lived a full and colorful life. Over the years he worked in roofing and siding, drove for Capital District Dairy, worked for Coca-Cola, and eventually retired as a truck driver for Stericycle.

He was a tell-it-like-it-is kind of guy who loved to bust chops, make people laugh, and offer his opinion whether you asked for it or not. He could have a hard exterior, but those close to him knew how deeply he cared. He loved cooking, grilling, his dog Charlie, and being the unofficial “Mayor” of his apartment complex, always keeping an eye on things and helping where he could.

Dave is survived by his son, David Jr. and his wife Mickella and their boys; his niece, Janan Johnson, her husband Scott, and their children Maria, Dom and Bella; his nephew, Robert Russo, and his children Bobby, Nicholas and Angelina; along with many other family members and friends.

The family would also like to recognize Rhonda Kyger for her love, friendship, and support, especially over the past year, and Mary Ann Reutter for her many years of friendship and generosity. We would also like to acknowledge Phyllis Milliman, mother of their only child, David Jr., for the many decades of compassion, kindness, and the bond they continued to share through their son.

He was predeceased by his parents, George Milliman and Viva Maude Dutcher Milliman, and his sister, Viva Milliman.

Services will be held Friday September 25th at  Bond funeral home 1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY 12306 Visitation: 4-5 pm Service at 5PM.
