Daniel J. Thuener, 77, of West Old State Road Guilderland died Sunday March 9, 2008 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Scotia, he was the son of the late Everett and Flora (Kastensmith) Thuener. He was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Webster College in Missouri. Daniel was a Tech Sergeant in the Air Force for 20 years and later was employed as a Private Contractor for the Federal Government for many years. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Schenectady and was a volunteer at the Church and with the community. Daniel enjoyed studying Local History, Genealogy, loved Camping and was a Mr. Fix-it. He is survived by his wife Vernetta Johnson Thuener whom he married January 24, 1970, three daughters Debra J. Ragan of Umatilla, FL, Elaine A. Thuener (Amir Salem) of Houston, TX and Glenda A. Thuener of Duluth, Minnesota, also survived by 2 Grandchildren-Jacob Ragan and Rachel Ragan as well as several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be Saturday March 15, 2008 at 2PM at the First Reformed Church 8 N. Church Street in Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Private internment will be in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady. Contribution's can be made in Daniel's memory to Camp Fowler C/O Regional Synod of Albany 1790 Grand Blvd. Schenectady, NY
