Daniel L Thornton

Daniel L. Thornton 88, passed away on Tuesday December 27th at Ellis hospital in Schenectady.

Born and educated in Schenectady, Daniel was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Ryan) Thornton and a graduate of Both mont pleasant High School and Hudson Valley Community College.

A Marine Corp Korean War veteran, Dan was a NYS Trooper for many years prior to his retirement.

He was a former member of both St. John the Evangelist and St. Lukes Churches.

Beside his parents, Dan was predeceased by his siblings, Harry Thornton, Edmund Thornton and Veronica Bond.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Thornton, his children and many nieces and nephews.

As per Dan's request no services will be held.

Interment in Saratoga National Cemetery
